You and two guests will have the opportunity to play a round of golf with former PGA Tour Member Bob Friend at the historic Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, PA, site of the 2021 U.S. Amateur Championship and the 2025 U.S. Open Championship.
Introduced in 1903 by designer Henry Fownes, Oakmont Country Club has hosted more combined USGA and PGA championships than any other course in the U.S., including nine United States Opens, five U.S. Amateurs, three PGA Championships, and two U.S. Women's Opens. Oakmont remains perhaps the most difficult course in North America, with 175 deep bunkers (personified by the Church Pews), hard and slick greens that slope away from the player, and tight fairways requiring the utmost precision. Oakmont was the site of "the greatest round of the 20th century": Johnny Miller's final round 63 at the 1973 U.S. Open. Golf Digest ranks Oakmont #5 in its most recent version of America's Top 100 courses.
Friend played a total of 18 years on the three major Tours associated with the PGA Tour: 9 years on the Web.Com Tour, 5 years on the PGA Tour and 4 years on PGA Tour Champions. Friend Recorded 27 top tens on the Web.Com Tour including a win in the 1991 Web.Com Tour Ft. Wayne Open, 4 top tens on the PGA Tour including a playoff-loss in the 1998 Bell Canadian Open and 1 top ten on the PGA Tour Champions. Friend holds the record for shooting the lowest round in PGA Tour qualifying history in the final round, carding a 63 to earn back his PGA Tour card for the 1998 season. Friend also competed in 4 US Opens, 4 US Amateurs, 1 PGA Championship, 1 Sr. PGA Championship, and 1 Sr. Open championship. Having played with many of the greats including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Tom Watson and Seve Ballesteros, Friend is a longtime member of Oakmont CC and has many stories from a long playing career as well as an intimate knowledge of The Club and the course.

• Experience cannot be resold or re-auctioned. • Travel and accommodations are not included. • We expect all winning bidders and their guests to conduct themselves appropriately when attending an experience from A1 VIP Entertainment must display polite manners and respect for the generous member and adherence to any rules or parameters are a must. • To be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon date, based on the member's availability.
